  • There are not very many original Engadin houses like this one in the direct vicinity of St Moritz. This a large semi-detached house dating from the 16th century, located in the centre of Samedan.

    The left side of the house is one of the few remaining authentic Engadin houses. It was expanded and renovated in 1995, and became a separate property with approx. 400 m² living space on 3 floors, as well as approx. 300 m² usable space from the cellar to the attic, which can be expanded by up to 30% (with a ceiling height of up to 1.60m).

    The imposing entrance hall the so called Sulèr, with its cross vaults, has been beautifully preserved. From there, the layout is typical of an historic Engadin house.

    The renovated Swiss pine kitchen and dining room with soapstone stove and real Engadin flair, as well as an old stone floor, from which the stove is fanned.

    The dining room has a beautiful cross-vaulted ceiling. The original barn has been converted into a large living and dining room with adjoining balcony and a magnificent, unobstructed view of the mountains towards Pontresina. This is unusual for a house in the town centre. Simply wonderful!
